cat-has-sparkles said: The other day I showed a girl I work with that picture of us and Matt Reich (you know that one…) and she pointed to you and said “How old is she?” and when I told her she said “no way, she looks like… 20. Don’t lie.” Thanks for this :)  But I mean personality-wise, people seem to think i’m immature. I don’t know. I’m probably just overanalyzing it.

I wonder why I give a first impression of being...
It happens all the time.  Other people group me with younger, more immature people in their minds;  I can see it.  Maybe it’s because I’m a tad intimidated by smart and witty and funny people.  I’m too preoccupied wishing I could be as smart and witty and funny as them to become smart and witty and funny myself.  So most of the time I just stick around immature and unfunny people...

elizabethkate: Today Erin came over for a photoshoot with me and Jessica. Because I love her, I spent the afternoon outside in a mini-dress in extremely cold and windy weather. The pictures are going to look amazing, though. She took one that I’m especially excited to see: my face with words from my personal… Hopefully processing the photos from the ’30s camera tomorrow.  (!!!!)...

elizabethkate: Today is the birthday of one of my very best friends, Erin. She is flawless and now she’s a year older! THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. My copy should be arriving Thursday or Friday. The waiting is killing me. It’s been seven years since Looking For Alaska was released. That book changed my life when I read it two years ago, and it has continued to influence and inspire me. In...

for the record
skinnerschild: i no longer have a problem with what gore said at the assembly. he gave a weak apology, and though it was wildly inappropriate, i feel it would be crossing the line to take this whole thing any further. he obviously doesn’t think before he speaks. however i do think that he deserves to be fired for what he did to luisa. that situation has not gotten nearly as much attention as...

TW: rape, sexual assult, victim blaming
elizabethkate: erinai: skinnerschild: visceralmoue: boisdontcry: Hey AP, I get that the dress code needs to be enforced in order to cover YOUR ass, but you need to find a way to explain why people can’t wear tights as pants that doesn’t involve blaming sexual assult victims for their perpetrator’s actions. If people being raped on campus is such a big concern then I think a better plan...

raintree3000: world-shaker: From Larry Ferlazzo: When students focus on tests, they are thinking about what they need to remember to get a good grade, he said. They are not taking the time to think about why they are learning this information, and why it is important in their life. That’s the conclusion of a study of 5,000 students taking high school health classes. Students in classes...

Just stop.
I don’t want to associate with people who are stuck in the same mindset they were in middle school. It’s odd how all my homeschooled friends are older than me, but I barely associate with the people who are older than me at my school. It’s. just. odd.
