  1. Today is the birthday of one of my very best friends, Erin. She is flawless and now she’s a year older!
  2. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. My copy should be arriving Thursday or Friday. The waiting is killing me.
  3. It’s been seven years since Looking For Alaska was released. That book changed my life when I read it two years ago, and it has continued to influence and inspire me.

In summation, I love Erin and John Green is my hero.

<3 <3 <3 Thank you lovely

for the record

i no longer have a problem with what gore said at the assembly. he gave a weak apology, and though it was wildly inappropriate, i feel it would be crossing the line to take this whole thing any further. he obviously doesn’t think before he speaks.

however

i do think that he deserves to be fired for what he did to luisa. that situation has not gotten nearly as much attention as it deserves.

I’m just reblogging all your opinions k.

Hey AP, I get that the dress code needs to be enforced in order to cover YOUR ass, but you need to find a way to explain why people can’t wear tights as pants that doesn’t involve blaming sexual assult victims for their perpetrator’s actions. If people being raped on campus is such a big concern then I think a better plan for stopping that would be not hiring rapists to do work, rather than cracking down on dancers who would rather not be late to every single class because they were trying to dress out.

And please explain what else “Some (people we hire for construction jobs) can’t control themselves.” is supposed to mean if it isn’t implying that you’re going to be raped if you wear tight fitting clothing.

Look, everyone: our assistant principal! Who has power over us! Hooray! I want to throw things at him!

He wasn’t only insulting the students, he was also insulting the construction workers. Holy christ. I almost fucking screamed.

yup, this is my school guys. the school that has maybe one fight a year. where we dance and paint and sing. where we are here by choice. and this is our assistant principal.

this doesn’t seem right to me.

I’m fuming about this.  Not only is he sending a negative message to girls, he’s basically telling boys that it’s ok to rape girls who wear leggings because they’re asking for it.  Mr. Gore is trying to fix something that isn’t broken.  fuck off.

This is MESSED UP. Is there somewhere we can write in and complain?

(I don’t go to this school, it’s just really fucked up that the message this man is sending is “if you get raped, it’s your own fault!”)

You can write to barry.bowe@cms.k12.nc.us (our principal)  If nothing is done I would go even higher up in cms, as I don’t know how much control Bowe has over the whole thing.

Just wrote a huge scholarship application thing online. Accidentally closed the tab. All gone. Fun.
